Healthy Fit Rugby Players a Burden on our Health Care system?

My Number 8 hurt her back. Her Primary Care doc said to rest and consider quitting Rugby.

Moron.

Do healthy people, who live longer, burden the health care system, or fat, obese people?

Here's some inconvenient truth.

Now, if my player was using England's NHS, she might have had a different experience. She'd be delayed in seeing a primary physician. Unless she worked for the NHS. You'll won't believe this one. Why is a National Health System, run by the gov't, using private treatment sources for their staff?

Because it takes too long to see a doctor in the NHS.

I've always maintained that we health Ruggers should get the hell out of the way. Use minor emergency centers, chiropractic, massage, and basic preventive measures. Don't clog up the system, so that the system can take care of those who need it.

Rugby is not a burden. But it is a disease...
