I have recently partnered with Nationwide Insurance to provide a group amateur sports policy.

Here's a quick scenario based on a 40 member club here in California:

For $10,000 in cover per incident with a $50 deductible, and assuming all your players have PRIMARY coverage, the Excess plan would be $19.50/player for six(6) months. The premium for all six months is due up front: 40 x $19.50 = $780.00

This plan also covers travel to and from trainings and games, and other club related events. Full set of benefits and limitations is available via pdf if you email me.

What's the catch(es)?

• You can't increase your dues to specifically cover the costs. IE, you can't charge players to be on it.
• You can't pick and choose which members are part of the plan, it's everybody or nobody.
• Any incidents involving alcohol, drugs, and/or something illegal, and the plan ain't paying squat.
