Do you really know what happens to your Club Dues?

Organized Rugby clubs have a treasurer. Usually, the one and only guy on the team who's had the same job since the inception of the club. Or, the coach's wife.

Either way, I doubt you know where the club's money goes.

So, I'm also betting that you have no idea where the 2.1 Trillion we spend in the USA goes for healthcare. (Most of it's Gov't Money too)

The result of the article: Out Patient Care.

Us.

Stitches, setting of broken bones, one day surgeries, doc visits, etc. etc. We see a specialist, boom, more "waste" according to the study.

They also confuse access with insurance. Stupid Bastards.

We live in the Greatest Country in the World with the Greatest Economy in the World. That includes our healthcare system. In how many countries are 40yr+ women having babies?

Ultimately, you're responsible for your health care, and your money. Take the time to learn how the system works, so you can work it to your advantage.

Your body is not a Rugby club. You can't just write a check, and show up on Saturday.

    Kevin,

Right on! Rugby players and others are ALL responsible for their own health. Exercise and preventive care go hand in hand to keep you flexible, toned and healthy.

Unfortunately a great deal of our money for health care is wasted. I see it everyday. Some is the premeditated confusion created around health care services, some is greed and inefficiency.

There is no longer a tolerance for gouging the public. Simple quality services, low cost and transparency are coming.
