An accent does not a Good Rugger make...

So the new guy on the club has an accent. Most American players naturally assume that he's awesome.

9 times out of 10, he sucks. He thinks he's a good player, but actually, the guy couldn't tackle homework.

This goes to Health Insurance and premium. "It's so cheap, and the deductible is so LOW..."

Both Blue Shield and Anthem Blue Cross have introduced very, VERY, inexpensive plans that look like comprehensive health insurance.

They're not.

The Vital Shield 2900 for someone under 30 years old will be about $50 a month. Damn, a steal!

NO.

What they fail to tell you is that out patient services do not go against your deductible or co-insurance.

Meaning, if you have NOT been admitted to a hospital, you're paying out of pocket for MRIs, Xrays, and any other services done off site from the Hospital. An MRI could run you up to $2500.

Example: You go see an Ortho for a bum knee. He orders an MRI. You pay for it. You pay for it, no matter how much you've already spent on your Health care that year.

It's a big deal, since you're an athlete and could be going in for MRIs and X rays a couple times a year. Your insurance plan that excludes out patient services is now a simple catastrophic plan. Emergency Medical only.

I realize the difference is subtle, but trust me, we're talking THOUSANDS of potential dollars out of YOUR pocket.

Uncool.

So if he talks funny, doesn't mean it knows anything about Rugby.

If the rate is low, it's because the benefits are too...
