You start training, then Pre-Season, then, the Season...

So, there's a progression in Rugby. Off-season fitness, Pre-season training, and then, the SEASON!

Same with health insurance. The Off-Season is to gather info and apply, Pre-season is underwriting, then the Insurance kicks in.

Realize that applying for Health insurance could take MONTHS to process.

Just like properly training for Rugby starts MONTHS before the first game.

Now, it's different for your employer. But the Boss is only shifting more costs onto you, simply because his rates are twice, typically, of individual rates.

But he can place insurance instananeously. You Can't.

Fair? Doesn't matter. It is what it is.

Please, stop calling on Friday thinking you can have insurance in-force by Saturday's match. Ain't gonna happen.

1-3 Months.

Just like Pre-Season Training....
