Ruggers tend to be A-type personalities. Many either are commission only or own their own businesses.
Take advantage of multi-line discounts. Meaning, have ONE company handle all the insurance needs, the biz, the car, the house, the umbrella policy.
The only thing you should un-couple from that is the Worker's Comp.
Keeping ONE company maximizes discounts, and eases coordination of payouts during claim time. IE, it avoids the "were not liable for that" problem when two insurance companies are involved.
As always, keep the agent on a short leash. The Agent should be your Champion when dealing with the company he recco'ed.
I totally agree that choosing a single company will tend to increase the discounts and there will be better coordination also. But finding that company that offers all the kinds is also a matter of concern too.
