I'm finding a SAD trend in health insurance claims.
Rugby players get hurt. They go Doctors and ERs and such. They pay a co-pay, or some money down towards a deductible. Then, the medical service provider "codes" what was done to the Wee Winger.
The Medical Service Providers are NOT coding correctly considering the new LAWS for health insurance.
Example: Preventative care is now fully covered bc of Obamacare. However, Doc offices are "coding" it under the old system, leaving huge bills for the patient.
Certain exams are to be covered completely, but the Medical Service provider usually does NOT code correctly.
Remember, the Insurance company is NOT incented to REcode your medical bills.
Ergo, either you get it done, or you pay the difference.
Idiots abound. Don't be one of them. Take an ACTIVE part in your health, health care, and health insurance. Remember, if we go to an all gov't system, imagine trying to get money out of them for an MD's mistake...
