Get Stitches at Work or Walmart...

How many Rugby players have had their Saturdays ruined because they sat in an ER for 8 hours? Who's lost a day's wage because they had to see their primary care physician on Monday? Dont' you just hate missing the social, or not having money for the pub on Thursday post training? These are bad days.

A thousand years ago, men could go to work, and see a doctor.

It's true. Big companies would have an in-house physician, known as a work site clinic. They are coming back, run by the same companies who are placing minor emergency medical clinics in Walmart's and Walgreen's.

Very quietly, under the radar, this change is happening.

What does this mean for the Rugby player? No ER visit for minor injuries.

An ER visit will run you $500 minimum. This can be minimized, check out this running example, but in general, if you don't have an Accident Medical Plan, or a Health Savings Account, you're rucked.

Imagine if your Primary Care Physician, Chiropractor, and massage therapist was already at YOUR office on Monday.

What if you could pop into Walgreen's, get stitched up from Head to Knee disease, grab some bandaids, linament, ibuprofen, etc., and still make it back in time for the after-match social?

That's what we call a rucking good day.
