This crap pisses me off.
It's bad enough that health care and health insurance are misconstrued, mis-defined, and generally a mess. But, that does NOT give license to bilk someone for $1,000s because of the geographic location of an injury.
A solution is to carry a simple supplemental policy that has no network, like RIS' VBA plan. Also, utilize either USAR's A&H supp or get one for your club via me.
Watch for this. Get an agent involved, or even better, a lawyer.
