After Training Thursday, the Pub. After a minor injury or sickness, the MinuteClinic

We all go to the pub after rugby training on Thursdays.

However, we tend to crowd the ER and PCP (primary care physician) office for minor troubles. But the new trend in health care access are minor emergency clinics.

Now some politicians, mostly from the left, fear the opening of a "doc-in-the-box." Why? Competing for health care dollars makes genius sense. It's only a 2 Trillion dollar industry. 1% of that market is $20,000,000,000.00. That's 20 Billion for those playing at home. Consumer Driven Healthcare creates MinuteClinic opportunities.

So if you can create a business that caters to minor medical needs, locate it in a CVS or Walgreen's, you can increase your retail traffic, help those in need, and increase your bottom line profit. Isn't that what America is all about?

So, I'll see you in the Pub tomorrow.

And when we get those stitches, I'll head down the candy aisle and grab you a chocolate bar. ;)
