20 minutes left in the Match (You vs. Benefits(NZ))

Did you know that New Zealand scores 50% of their tries in the last 20 minutes of the match?

Well, we're into the last quarter of the year, and your Employer is about to score some tries with your healthcare benefits.

Now, if you're smart, you've already dropped your Employer Benefits and bought your own policies.

For the stupid: Even state budgeters are realizing the savings Health Savings Accounts have to offer. Your Boss hates writing checks, trust me. So her new plan is to change the benefits, giving you an HRA or help you create an HSA. You'll be confused, you'll be tired, you won't know what to do.

Just like anyone who plays NZ, the last 20 minutes is usually a confused series of tries.

Stop. Breathe. Get control of your set piece, and play conservative, keeping possession. With your benefits, research your options, get online, and see if you can do better elsewhere. Remember, it's called Consumer Directed Healthcare. Since it's your money, you'll be smarter and healthier.

Getting run over by Jerry Collins sucks. Getting run over by the confusion of your new benefits also sucks. Stop the track meet, make your tackles. Control YOUR Healthcare.
